Green Pastures |
At this hour, I call out to you Jehovah Rohi the Lord our Shepherd — Psalm 23 |
Rest, this is a Sabbath moment. You are safe.
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23
What do you need Sabbath from? And what do you need Sabbath for? Write down five ways in which you could rest and could play right now.
Lord, give us happiness this new week! Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe, Creator of the various kinds of spices. May the pleasures of the Sabbath linger into the coming week, just as the rich smells of the spices linger in our nostrils. May we be like a delicious smell to many as we bring the message about the wonderful Messiah to them this week! God is the source of all kinds of lights – the lights of truth, knowledge, wisdom, happiness, victory and salvation and life. May our lives be full of His light! [A Blessing for the end of Sabbath]
